Pastor – Rev. TJ Shirley

Pastor TJ is a native of Florida, where he lived the first 22 years of his life. He has gradually made his way farther north until he reached here. Pastor TJ has a B.A. in Music from Southeastern University, a Graduate Certificate in Church Music from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, and a Master’s of Divinity and a Master’s of Theology from Columbia Theological Seminary. He served in music ministry, Christian education, and church communications for almost 20 years before entering pastoral ministry. Pastor TJ is married to Maggie, his high school sweetheart, who is a career music educator. They have two daughters: Brooke and Allie. In his spare time, Pastor TJ likes to sing, play guitar and trumpet, listen to podcasts, and watch football.

 

 

 

Director of Music – Jiwon Lee

Pianist Jiwon Lee is an experienced soloist and collaborative pianist. Ms. Lee has extensive performance experience, including at Carnegie Hall in NYC, winning the American Protégé International Concerto Competition. Ms. Lee earned the Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees in Piano performance at the Keimyung University in Korea. Ms. Lee also holds the Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While at UWM, Ms. Lee has taught and performed widely. Currently, Ms. Lee is an opera coach and staff pianist at the University of Minnesota, pursuing her DMA degree as an ABD in Collaborative Piano and Coaching under Dr. Timothy Lovelace at the University of Minnesota.
